Petra has worked with opera singers as a pianist since her studies in Ostrava and Luzern in early 2000s, followed by many collaborations while she lived in Prague. She has performed in recitals in the Czech Republic, UK and Norway, appeared in modern opera productions as a pianist, such as Philip Glass's Les Enfants terribles in National Theatre in Prague.

    After she moved to the UK, Petra started working as a Czech language coach for individual singers, and later for British and Europian opera companies. She has worked with Welsh National Opera on productions of Janáček's Jenůfa and Makropulos Affair, with Garsington Opera - Dvořák's Rusalka, and 2022 participated in another Jenůfa production in Wiener Staatsoper.

    In April-May 2023, Petra worked with Teatro alla Scala in Milan on a house premiere of Rusalka, followed by summer with Garsington Opera - Smetana's Bartered Bride. 

In March 2024 Petra returned to Wiener Staatsoper for a production of Rusalka. 

Recent collaborations include Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (online coaching - excerpts of Janáček's Cunning Little Vixen).
